In collaboration and with funding from DCF, SEPI facilitated the dissemination of New Baby Kits for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) across Connecticut. These free kits were available in both English and Spanish to accommodate those who received them. These kits included resources on the SEPI Initiative, WIC and breastfeeding information, Birth to Three, Intimate Partner Violence support, Infant safety and safe sleep practices, as well as baby bibs, spoons, and a board book.
SEPI distributed 1,000 baby kits to the following FQHC’s:
- Wheeler Waterbury
- Wheeler New Britain
- Wheeler Bristol
- Wheeler Hartford
- United Community & Family Services (UCFS)
- Norwalk Community Health Center
- Cornell Scott Hill Health Center
