  • CAPTA 101 Trainings can be individualized based on the agency’s needs

    This training is developed for a brief overview of the CAPTA Legislation and Family Care Plans. This is a good starting point for those who would need to know the basics of CAPTA.

  • Know Your Role: An Overview of CAPTA and Family Care Plans for Hospital Providers (90 Minutes)

    This training is helpful for any health professionals who work with people who are pregnant and/or parenting and also using substances. This training is 90 minutes and offers 1.5 CECs through the CT National Association of Social Workers and 1.5 Contact Hours through the CT Certification Board.

  • Know Your Role: An Overview of CAPTA and Family Care Plans for Community Providers (90 Minutes)

    This training is helpful for any community providers who work with people who are pregnant and/ or parent and also using substances. This training is 60 minutes and offers 1.5 CECs through the CT National Association of Social Workers and 1.5 Contact Hours through the CT Certification Board.

  • United in Recovery: Breaking the Stigma of Addiction Trainings can be individualized based on the agency’s needs

    This training provides an overview of the impact of stigma on pregnant individuals who use substances. It highlights key strategies for providers to recognize and address stigma within themselves and their agencies and offers guidance on supporting Family Care Plan development through an unbiased, patient-centered lens. The training also explores key topics such as universal substance use screening, policy and practice changes to reduce stigma, continuity of care and referral pathways, and substance use resources.

  • CAPTA Portal Overview and Walkthrough Trainings can be individualized based on the agency’s needs

    This training is intended for healthcare professionals and gives an in-depth walkthrough of submitting a CAPTA notification through the online portal. Here we go over specific examples and frequently asked questions.

  • Family Care Plan Virtual Tool Training Trainings can be individualized based on the agency’s needs

    This training is intended for both healthcare professionals and community providers. It provides a step-by-step walkthrough of the new Virtual Family Care Plan Tool, demonstrating how to create a Family Care Plan and showing examples of how birthing individuals can complete one themselves. This training is recommended for participants who have completed Know Your Role: An Overview of CAPTA and Family Care Plans Training.

  • DMHAS Women's Services Trainings can be individualized based on the agency’s needs

    This training is intended to go through the available services and programs that DMHAS offers. This includes services for substance use disorders, treatment services, residential treatment programs, intensive outpatient services, and more.

  • Technical Assistance

    SEPI-CT provides technical assistance to hospital systems seeking support with implementing new or existing policies and procedures related to CAPTA and Family Care Plans within their departments.

  • One-on-One Assistance

    SEPI-CT provides individualized, one-on-one support tailored to an agency’s needs. This allows for a deeper dive into any questions the agency may have.
